YOU CAN BE ANCHORED

I spent a few days at the lake with my original lifetime Salty Sister’s. It was a particularly windy day and we were attempting to set out anchor. The elements seemed against us and we drifted aways before finally securing the boat. I’m a preachers kid so I often say “there’s a sermon in that”. First, you will have days were everything seems against you and no matter how hard you try it will feel like all hope is lost or unattainable. Second, you can’t hold your own. No matter what the world tells you. You can fight against the elements and circumstances but you will drift away in exhaustion. Thirdly, you need to set your anchor. Key point…knowing you have an anchor does nothing for you until you secure yourself with it. Roman’s 10:13 say “for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” James 1:6 says “ …you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like the wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” You are so loved God sent His son to die for you. Soak on that for a little bit let it settle in your heart. He created you for a purpose to be anchored in a right relationship with Him.
